Our next NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Training Program is March 24th to March 26th 2023. We have six seats available. The first six students who qualify for the program and sign up will get the seats. Just because you qualify does not guarantee you have a seat. You can sign up for the Instructor Pre-Course Qualification online here.
Prerequisites - Besides passing the qualification, you must have taken the NRA Basic Pistol Course in person. I run them most Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm if you need to take the Basic Pistol Course.
Instructor Class Hours - Friday from 5:30 to 9:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm. Plan for full, 12-hour days on Saturday and Sunday.
The class will be in Harwinton, Connecticut.
What will you be getting/learning?
During the course, candidates will learn NRA policies and procedures; basic public speaking skills; training methodology; use of a training team and training aids; organizing a course, building a budget; and preparing to teach. You will be qualified to teach the NRA Basic Pistol Course if you pass.
Cost - $350 per person
Include course materials and training.
The class fee includes $65 for your qualification program.
Food Breaks - Depending on the course progression, we may have one-hour breaks for lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. We will likely order in and continue academic training during the breaks. You are welcome to bring food, snacks and drinks or order through apps including Door Dash or Uber Eats.
We need four students to sign up to hold the class. The maximum enrollment is six students.
